HINATA BY SHTAWI · FREE PRACTICAL GUIDE
Is your call center short-staffed during breaks?
Check one 15-minute interval in 60 seconds using a simple example. No signup, customer data or upload required.
The 60-second staffing check
Step 1: Choose one busy 15-minute interval. Note how many agents you require and how many are rostered. Step 2: Subtract agents on breaks, meals, meetings or otherwise unavailable. Step 3: Compare available agents with requirement.
Available = rostered − unavailable.
Shortfall = max(0, required − available).
Manual option: If the button does not work on your device, use the formula above: available agents = rostered minus unavailable; shortfall = the greater of zero or required minus available. This free check needs no sign-up or upload.
Check your own 15-minute interval
Enter headcount only. This check runs in your browser; it does not send or save your numbers.
This is a single-interval headcount check. It does not forecast demand, occupancy, service level, skills, or a full-day schedule; review all intervals before changing breaks.
Try a realistic example
At 10:30, your team needs 6 agents on queue. You have 8 rostered, but 2 are on breaks and 1 is in a meeting.
Tap to reveal the coverage result
8 − 2 − 1 = 5 available. Required = 6, so you are 1 agent short during this interval. Rescheduling one eligible break might close this gap, but check every other interval first—it can create a shortage elsewhere.
The important question: Is this a one-time gap, or do several breaks and meetings overlap throughout the shift? You need an interval-by-interval view to find out.
